The Winnipeg Blues goal scoring woes continued last night as they were blanked 5-0 by the Portage Terriers.
It was the first time all season the Blues were held off the scoresheet.
In what was a battle for first place in the Addison division, the Terriers notched goals from Kajon McKay and Andrew Wiebe in the first.
The second period saw Dylan Butler and Brent Wold give Portage a 4-0 lead heading into the final frame.
And Wold would get his second of the night in the third, rounding out the scoring, and giving the Terriers a 5-0 win, as well as sole possession of first place in the Addison division, one point back of the Dauphin Kings for the League lead.
The Blues, who lead the league in goals for with 143, have scored just three goals in their past three games, all of which were losses.
Winnipeg will look to avoid losiing four in a row for the first time this season as they take on the Steinbach Pistons Thursday night at the Ice Plex.
The Blues have beaten the Pistons in all five meetings so far this season, including their last win, which was back on November 26th, a 7-4 win over Steinbach at the Ice Plex.
Puck drop is set for 7:30.
