Derek Gingera continued his torrid pace last night against the Winnipeg Blues, counting in on every goal as the Selkirk Steelers dropped the Winnipeg Blues 4-2 at the MTS Ice Plex.
A night earlier the Steelers won 5-2 in Selkirk.
Derek Gingera took matters into his own hands this weekend, scoring a hat trick in Friday nights win, and Saturday night added a goal and 3 assists.
In total during the two games, Gingera had 4 goals and 3 assists against the Blues.
Winnipeg had a lot of scoring chances, but Steelers netminder Jordan Washburn thwarted the Blues on many occasions.
At games end, Winnipeg had outshot Selkirk 43-25, including 18-9 in the third period.
Patrick Henderson and Peter Logan tallied for the Blues.
It was the last meeting of the regular season between the two clubs.
Next action for the Blues is Tuesday night when they welcome the Winnipeg Saints to the MTS Ice Plex.
Puck drop set for 7:30.
