Blues Earn Point Against Dauphin

The Winnipeg Blues once again played the defending MJHL Champions tough, but came up just short as the Dauphin Kings slipped by the Blues 5-4 in a shootout on Saturday night to wrap up MJHL Showcase Weekend.

Evan Gravenor had a strong game for the Blues, notching his 5th and 6th goals of the season in the loss.   Jeff Borse added his second of the year, and Channing Bresianni scored his first.

For the Kings it was Chris Daniels with a pair, Josh Daley, and Bryn Chyzyk all lighting the lamp.

Daniels was the only shooter able to find the back of the net during the shootout for either club.

Charlie Pogue stopped 24 shots in the loss, while Dauphins Brett Willows made 21 saves.

So the Blues wrap up Showcase Weekend at the MTS Ice Plex with 3 out of a possible 4 points.

The Blues are right back at it again tonight (Sunday) at the Ice Plex, when they'll face the 7-0-0-1 OCN Blizzard.

Again, note the early start time, as puck drop is set for 6:30.
