2nd Period Costly Again For Blues

Playing their third game in as many nights, the Blues lost their second in a row, this time 6-1 to the Neepawa Natives.

And just as it was the night before against the Saints, the second period was the turning point.

The two teams were tied at one at the end of the opening frame, with Dustin Pearson scoring his second of the year for the Blues.

But that's as close as they'd come, as the Natives exploded for 4 unanswered goals in the second, all but sealing the game up for Neepawa.

Richard Olson, Tyler Larson, Andrew Nobili, and Daniel Adams with his second of the game all found the back of the net.  Neepawa outshot Winnipeg 19-8 in the period, and 44-27 overall.

Blair Holmes rounded out the scoring in the 3rd, giving the Natives the 6-1 win in front of close to 175 fans at the MTS Ice Plex.

The Blues now have a couple days off before they hit the road for 3 games.   Next action is Tuesday, November 2nd when they'll hop on the bus to Winkler to face the Flyers in a key Addison division matchup.  The Flyers are currently sitting in 3rd, three points ahead of the 4th place Blues.
