Another 1 goal loss for the Blues, but this one may taste a little more bitter.
Holding a 3-2 lead late in the third, defenseman Peter Logan was called for roughing, giving the Steelers a chance to tie the game.
And the Addison Division leaders did just that, as Colan Jackson put the puck behind Charlie Pogue sending the game to overtime.
The extra frame has been less than pleasant for the Blues this season.
Overtime solved nothing, and the two clubs headed to the shootout, where once again it was Colan Jackson as the only one who'd find the back of the net, giving the Steelers a come from behind 4-3 shootout win.
The loss puts the Blues record during the extra frame this season at 2 wins, 2 overtime losses, and 4 shootout losses.
The loss spoiled a 3 point night posted by the Blues Evan Gravenor. He notched his 8th of the year, and added two helpers, giving him 14 points on the season.
Patrick Henderson and Channing Bresianni also scored for the Blues. It was the 2nd of the year for both.
The Blues now fall to 3-6-2-4 on the year, and sit in 5th in the Addison.
The Blues have a couple days until their next action. On Sunday the Swan Valley Stampeders will visit the MTS Ice Plex to take on the Blues.
Early puck drop once again, as the game is scheduled to get underway at 6:30.
