The Winnipeg Blues were looking for their third straight win on Friday night in Waywayseecappo, but the Wolverines came out on top 3-2 in a shootout.
Josh Daley had a pair for the Wolverines, while Patrick Henderson and Connor Cleverley each lit the lamp for the Blues.
Overtime settled nothing, and in the shootout, once again Josh Daley put home the final tally, giving Wayway the 3-2 win.
Brett Martyniuk had another strong game between the pipes for the Blues, stopping 31 of 33 shots, including 14 in the second period.
Winnipeg gets right back on the ice again tonight when they host the Winnipeg Saints. The Blues are coming off their first win of the season over the Saints last Sunday night 3-2.
Puck drops tonight at 7:30 at the MTS Ice Plex.
