Home Sweet Home

The Winnipeg Blues played in their first home game in over a month on Friday night, and exploded to a 9-3 win over the Steinbach Pistons.

After falling 9-2 on Tuesday night in Selkirk, the Blues came out ready to play against the Pistons.

Nine different skaters found the back of the net, ending the Blues 4 game losing streak in a big way.

Dustin Pearson, Paul Bonar, Andrew Hewitt, Dylan Kelly, Brett Harvie, Austin Lauder, Patrick Henderson, Jake Heisinger, and newly acquired Jeremy Olynyk lit the lamp in the win.

Brett Martyniuk also had a strong game, stopping 28 of the 31 shots that came his way.

Winnipeg will look to make it two in a row this Sunday night when the Winnipeg Saints visit the MTS Ice Plex.

The Saints have won all 5 meetings between the two clubs this season.

Puck drop is set for 6:30.
