The Winnipeg Blues made it two wins in a row on Sunday night, dropping the Winnipeg Saints 3-2 at the MTS Ice Plex.
It was their first win over the Saints this season, and the first time they've won consecutive games since a pair of wins over Swan Valley and Steinbach back in late October.
Patrick Henderson scored twice in the win, while defenseman Paul Bonar notched his 13th of the season, tying him for the team lead with Dylan Kelly.
Brett Martyniuk was once again solid, stopping 21 of 23 shots fired his direction.
One of the things the Blues needed to do to begin turning things around was lowering the goals against, and in the last two games they've allowed only five goals, and they've both been wins.
Winnipeg will be looking for their first three game winning streak of the season beginning next Friday night they they head to Waywayseecappo to face the Wolverines.
The Blues are 2-1-0-0 against Wayway this season.
It's the first of a three game in three night stretch which will see them return home for a Saturday rematch with the Saints, and a Sunday home tilt against the Winkler Flyers.
